I have never been able to stick to any weight loss program until after I had my second child and I reached my heaviest weight of my life at 106kg.
I was in a changing room trying on clothes that were plus size at the age of 23 and I caught a glimpse of myself in the 3 mirrors that surrounded me and I just broke down.
It was then I knew that I was going to change my life, I lost 28kg over the course of a year and was genuinely happy for the first time in my life. I then fell pregnant with my third child and old habits started kicking in and by the time she was 5 months old I was back to my old weight.
I have never found any diet/gym/PT or group that I was happy with until I joined up with Ali Fox and her TT style boot camp in early 2014.
I walked away from my first session feeling amazing. Yes I was sore and completely exhausted but I was motivated and I knew that I was going to join the TT challenge and give it my all.
For the next 12 weeks I did the Buff dudes and Hot chicks workouts in our private studio and also worked out with Ali Fox two to five times a week. The difference with losing the weight this time is that I was following the TT routines as well as cardio. Not only was my fitness improving greatly but my strength was as well.
I was completing workouts that I never could have done before and my fitness testing every 6 weeks was showing exactly how far I had improved.
At times I thought it was too hard and I couldn't do it anymore but the support that I had was amazing and it pushed me through the tough times. I made it to the end of the challenge and I'm so glad that I did. I can't wait to see what the next 12 weeks hold.
