When I was younger, I was always involved in sports and was very active. Now at 49 and working 12 hour swing shifts, my fitness and energy levels hit an all time low. I knew I needed to do something, so I began searching the internet for a nutrition and workout plan.
Before joining the TT contest, my workouts were the conventional workouts that everyone was doing. I was doing long hours of cardio with very little strength training only to see no results at all.
I bought into the fad diets and all the fad workout plans only to see minimal results. I entered this contest for a few reasons; to lose weight and gain some muscle.
But the most important reason was accountability. I wanted to be held accountable for my fitness goals, and I felt this contest where I have to post my photos online would do just that.
The Turbulence Training routines were a bit different from what I was accustomed to, but proved to be very effective. I also liked the level of convenience in the workouts that allows me to do them at home. I mainly did the Turbulence Training 2.0 workouts and was impressed with the results.
I made some drastic changes to my diet which consisted of more protein and little to no processed foods. My carbs consisted of oatmeal, brown rice, and sweet potatoes. This was by far the most challenging part of the contest. I struggled with my diet throughout this contest, so I added a couple of cheat days to keep my sanity. LOL.
I am proud of what I have been able to achieve without hours of long boring cardio and painful joints from lifting weights. I plan to incorporate the TT exercises into my routine for many years to come. My next goal is to reach single digit body fat. I know with my new found routine and constantly upgrading my diet, this can be accomplished.
I am very grateful that I participated in this contest; and I'm thankful to Craig for creating a plan that is easy for anyone to use and get the results they are looking for.
